About Us
Mubeen Institute is an Arabic learning platform for brothers, built around a simple yet often overlooked goal: understanding the Qur’an. In many traditional settings, emphasis is placed on memorisation, but the Qur’an itself urges reflection and comprehension. Mubeen addresses this gap by guiding students to engage deeply with the language of the Qur’an — unlocking its clarity (mubeen) through a structured, meaningful learning experience that prioritises understanding.
Students learn classical (fusha) Arabic through the stories of the Prophets, with key ayaat and ahadith woven into lessons to reinforce vocabulary and grammar in context. Each learner is paired with an Arabic teacher for weekly 1:1 sessions. All teachers speak English fluently. Classes are accessed through our easy-to-use learning platform, which allows students to schedule sessions, access materials, and track their progress — all in one place.
Mubeen isn’t just a language programme — it’s a brotherhood. Recognising the loneliness many face when learning Arabic in the West, we’ve designed the experience to include peer support, accountability partners, and opportunities for learners to practise and grow together. Through Arabic, we aim to connect hearts, build lasting bonds, and cultivate clarity — not just in language, but in faith.

Our Story
Ustadh Mahmoud Ziyada is a native Arabic speaker and master educator with over 20 years of experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers around the world.
Having taught extensively using classical Arabic textbooks such as Madinah and Bayna Yadayk, Ustadh Mahmoud noticed recurring challenges: grammar-heavy instruction, vocabulary overload, and shallow retention.
In response, he developed his own curriculum - one that emphasises depth over breadth, helping students internalise core vocabulary through consistent, meaningful use, rather than skimming through long, forgettable word lists.
He wove storytelling into his teaching, drawing on the timeless narratives of the Seerah (Prophetic biography) and the stories of the Prophets, making the learning experience both deeply engaging and spiritually uplifting.
Ustadh Mahmoud gifted this curriculum as a sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity) so that others may benefit from his lifelong work.
Our Arabic institute is honoured to teach using his unique curriculum, continuing his mission to make Arabic learning accessible and inspiring.
