OUR STORY
Why We Started
Ustadh Mahmoud Ziyada is a native Arabic speaker and master educator with over 20 years of experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers around the world.
Having taught extensively using classical Arabic textbooks such as Madinah and Bayna Yadayk, Ustadh Mahmoud noticed recurring challenges: grammar-heavy instruction, vocabulary overload, and shallow retention.
In response, he developed his own curriculum - one that emphasises depth over breadth, helping students internalise core vocabulary through consistent, meaningful use, rather than skimming through long, forgettable word lists.
He wove storytelling into his teaching, drawing on the timeless narratives of the Seerah (Prophetic biography) and the stories of the Prophets, making the learning experience both deeply engaging and spiritually uplifting.
Ustadh Mahmoud gifted this curriculum as a sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity) so that others may benefit from his lifelong work.
Our Arabic institute is honoured to teach using his unique curriculum, continuing his mission to make Arabic learning accessible and inspiring.
Teaching Philosophy
We believe in "Ihsan" (excellence) coupled with "Rahma" (mercy). Our structured curriculum ensures steady progress, while our teachers' compassionate approach ensures no student feels left behind or overwhelmed.
Our Teachers
Every teacher at Mubeen Institute is a native Arabic-speaking brother, rigorously vetted for both his knowledge (Tajweed/Arabic) and her ability to teach effectively online. They are mentors, not just instructors.
Purchase
Choose Qur'an or Arabic programme—or both paid separately. Each subscription includes 4 lessons per month with a fixed weekly hour slot.

What Happens Next?
Confirmation Email
Immediately after purchase, you'll receive a confirmation email stating your enrolment. Your setup will be completed in 3–4 working days.
Welcome Email
Receive your Student ID, name confirmation, and a link to book your fixed weekly slot via Squarespace. Your teacher will be randomly allocated after you book.
Slot Booking & Teacher Assignment
Book your weekly time based on availability. Our system then automates teacher assignment, lesson creation, and generates your recurring Google Meet invite.
Google Meet Link
Receive your recurring weekly Google Meet invite for your fixed lesson slot. Join your one-hour session each week at your scheduled time.
Slack Access
Get access to the main Mubeen Institute community Slack and a private channel with your assigned teacher. Policies and guidelines are shared at this stage.
Progress Tracker
Receive your progress tracker for accountability and monitoring. It's used by you, your teacher, and our admin team to track your journey.
First Lesson
Your teacher introduces themselves in a short 'get to know you' session. You'll have an initial assessment to determine your level and goals, and your programme will be tailored for you.
